Am I just being lazy? ....Do ya'll really tie on every lure or jig. I have 3 rods, 1 has a worm hook tied on, and another has a frog hook tied on. But on the other I keep a Speed Clip tied on and use it for lures & jigs so I can switch easily ?????

I normaly have lures to cover the water colum from 1ft to 20 ft and just change colors and only change an couple of lures, if not I will end up with all kinds of goofey lures tied on by the end of the day

I like the speed clips on 1 or 2 rods so i can change out plugs real fast or cranks colors and different depths trying to find the good color for the hour

I tie all on.  Only time i use a clip is if it is furnished with the lure and then i use on that one only.

I tie on every lure but it would be really tempting to use a clip. Really can't blame ya for using it, saves time.

hey danny you can change out every color trap or crank you have in a short amount of time, which can be to easy intead of sticking with 1 for long enough

I use clips very often with diving plugs and rattle traps. I started doing that after reading a book by KVD where he said it helps add action to the lure.

I use clips sometimes, but tend to retie them often anyways. It's for the extra action IKA mentioned. Don't use them as time savers.

I have some clips, but don't use them. The few times that I did, I didn't catch any fish.

Nope, I can tie a palomar as fast as most people can clip another lure on. I would like to ry them for extra action though

I used to use swivels alot until I had them fail on a few pretty big fish. I still usually have 1 rig with a swivel for quicker changes but won't use it in a tourney.

For that extra action, learn the rapala knot. Works beautifully, especially on cranks and spooks.

I normally have enough rods in my rod locker that i normally have what i am fishing for covered

I tie everything on.  But if I had only had a couple rods, then I would use one for traps, just seems easier.  I was using one during practice and the clip came open and the xcalibur xr-50 went for a flight, so much for that trap.  That's the reason why I don't use them

I tie everything on. It gets the wife mad because of how many rods I have. Plus if i loose a fish and it is because i was stupid with my knot tying, then i am an idiot. But if i loose a fish and it because the clip snapped i will be pissed and will probably break some stuff and say a few choice words. I think its better if I screw up then have a factor I can not control be the cause of my bad day.

I tie everything, and use a loop knot for lures when I want extra action.  I have a couple of friends who use clips all the time.  They seem to catch as many as I do, but that is not saying much.
