Who's all going to be at the compete and greet this Sunday? Just trying to get a rough number. It is at Lochloosa from safelight until 2pm and will be $30 per boat. It will be a lot of fun and a good opportunity to put profile names with faces.

as far as what you call "censorship", there is a reason for that, I cant get in the head of the moderator who deleted the post but they are simply trying to keep a friendly, clean, and most of all family friendly site. Some of us have felt disrespected on other sites and I know as one of those people I trust the moderators desitions on any of these topics and feel that every one should understand that. All I can say is if its such a problem, ask jerry or a moderator and im sure they will tell you why it was removed.

As for the event, I wont do to work.

I plan to be there.  As of now, still will be alone.  As for censorship, i cant remember excactly what was there, but I do remember it getting a little political and sorta hot.   Not really needed talking about fishing.  Keeping this a family site is good but i still think i should be able to refer to what my wife does at me quite often, but you cant use that female dog word with an ing on it. mikechell: I was going to go ... but I don't know what to think now.
With the censorship that happened on the two-stroke controversy thread, I don't even know if I want to remain a member of this site.  I am pretty sure this will be deleted also, so it's probably a waste to write it.
If it gets deleted, I won't be at the meet.  I'll wait for now, and see what happens.

I'm going to say this one more time since the last thread I said it in was deleted by one of our moderators: This is a fishing site. If you want to talk about politics there are plenty of other places to do it. You wouldn't go to political boards to ask if the bite is on at Rodman. Nobody needs to be on this fishing website talking about political hot-topics either.

I asked nicely for everyone to chill out and stay on topic. Obviously that didn't happen, or I wouldn't have come home to PM's asking me to delete the thread, only to find that someone else already beat me to it.

If you consider that censorship so be it. My post was deleted too (and it's my site!). If I'm not offended, then why should anyone else be? If you've been around forums enough you know that lack of moderation turns into an "internet tough guy" battle, and getting productive conversation done becomes impossible. That will not happen here.

You are are first to complain, vs. literally dozens of "Thank you"s I've received. If you want a nice friendly place to talk about fishing then by all means stick around, chat, and come fish with us. You are welcome. If you just HAVE to voice an off-topic opinion then you will probably have posts deleted again. I'll bet at least 1/3 of our SPONSORS have had posts deleted. Nobody takes offense to it. It seperates FBN from other boards and we're proud of it.

I deleted the posts. I deleted every post that didn't stay on the original subject. I deleted my own posts also. Jerry's rules are no politics, and as a moderator, I shouldn't have even gotten involved in it. After what happened with that thread, I can see the purpose for the rule. As soon as it turned political, a line was drawn in the sand and this friendly fishing site started to take a bad turn. I just put us in reverse and turned as back in the right direction. Now back to the fishing.Smile

Okay.  My apologies to who ever was offended by my opinions on that thread.  I guess I mis-understood the first post.

But I do not feel that the thread was political, it was about the environment, that outdoor sportsmen are supposed to care so much about.  Since the moderators can delete whatever they feel is political without discussion, that's censorship.

Thank you for the time I've spent on the site.  I had some good chats and read some interesting forum topics.  But I can not stay ... it just doesn't seem ... politically correct.

I hate to see you leave, but go ahead. BTW, every decent forum on the net has moderators that delete what they deem unnecessary for the site. Tony beat me to it, or else I would have deleted it myself. Peace Homes!!! But yeah, unfortunately Jerry and I won't be fishing. I really wanted to though. A 25+lb bag isn't out of the question. Fish should be bedding on the roots of pads. Good luck!

County ramp by post office.  By the way, i forgot to mention that the place was packed with speck fishermen on tuesday.  i got there about 10:30 and they were parked all up and down the railroad track and road. So it should be interesting Sunday.  Hopefully we will be there before most of them show up in the morning.
